Raise your hand if you have a sweet tooth…. Meee!! Good news, I have a healthier alternative to ice cream. I had to cut ice cream out of my diet. Sad, right? I’m pretty sure I’m lactose intolerant. 😦 Anyway, this is a good ice cream alternative.
Acai Berry Protein Bowl
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
3.5 oz packet acai berries (Trader Joe’s)
1/2 a frozen banana
Few frozen strawberries
1 scoop vanilla protein powder ( I used Jim Stoppani’s Pro-Jym protein)
Put almond milk, acai berries, frozen banana, frozen strawberries, and protein powder in a blender. I used a ninja blender. After it’s blended, pour everything into a bowl and top with granola, honey and fresh bananas.
